Details

A packet pickup will be held for local athletes on Thurday, April 2th, at Hoppers TapHouse (1400 S Salisbury Blvd). Volunteers will be responsible for assigning the bib number to the athlete and ensuring that the athlete receives their t-shirt and appropriate materials. This packet pickup is to alleviate the crowds for the local runners on Friday afternoon and is subject to cancellation.

Packet Pickup will be a in the Wicomico Room of the Guerreri University Center on the Salisbury University Campus. This is the large building that is close to Dogwood Drive. Volunteers will be responsible for assigning the bib number to the athlete and ensuring that the athlete receives their t-shirt and appropriate materials.

Want to be there to experience the joy of runners finishing? This is one of the most sought out positions in the entire race and you will get to see all of the hard work pay off for so many!

Jobs here may include handing out medals, food, drink and assisting runners finishing over the line. As a need is determined, you will be assigned to that task.

Water stations on the course and the backbone of the event. Last year we had 17 water stations, with basic food products, water, Gatorade, and bathroom facilities for the runners.

We would prefer groups of 4 persons that are comfortable being around each other. Each volunteer will be supplied with masks and nitrile gloves, which must be warn.

Volunteers will be pouring water and/or Gatorade from gallon jugs in to containers the runners will be carrying.

Shuttle Flaggers High Priority

Details

Volunteers will be stationed at the Salisbury City Garage from 5:15 am to 7:15 am. Job will be to assist runners to the shuttle pickup area for the Full and Half Marathon. THIS IS A GREAT JOB FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS SOMEONE RUNNING IN THE 5K, AS YOU WILL BE RIGHT BY THE START LINE.
